    On St. Patrick's Day the people in this district wear shamrocks.
    St. Brigid's Day;
    The people around here make crosses with rushes, and hang them up in the house.
    Easter Sunday;
    On Easter Sunday morning the people about here rise early to see the sun dancing. It is also a custom to eat eggs on that day.
    Hallow Eve;
    On hallow Eve night the people around here play tricks. The children gather nuts; and leave them past to hallow Eve night and, on that night it is a custom to eat nuts.
    "New Years Day"
    It is a custom on New Years Day not to throw out any water or anything.
