- There are two forts that I know of in this district.One of them named Lisdoogan is situated in the townland of Drumreaske.This fort is near the house of Lisdoogan.This name means the fort of Doogan.Another one is Lisaraw situated in Rossmore Park.They are not in view of one another.They are circular in shape.There is a fence of trees around Lisdoogan and a fence of earth around Lisaraw.There is water outside the fence of Lisaraw.These forts are thought to have been built by the Irish to protect themselves from the Danes.Little whit clay pipes have been found in both these forts.They are thought to have been owned by the fairy people,who were supposed to have taken the forts after the time of the Danes.In the fort of Lisaraw,a school boy that found pipes said he heard music one night in the fort.
No cats or any animals have been seen in the forts.There is an entrance into(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
