  1. Long ago the people counted some days to be lucky and more of them unlucky. Friday and Saturday are supposed to be unlucky days and the others are supposed to be lucky. It is supposed to be unlucky to sow potatoes after the middle of April.
    Saturday is supposed to be the best day to sow corn. Monday is the luckiest day for threshing.
