There was tanning of leather in Clones. Beside Scotshouse there was a barrel and churn making factory. At the County bridge - between Cavan and Monaghan, a man named Reilly made wheels. There was a nailer in Belturbet and he and his wife made nails. They could put the head on the nail with five strokes of the hammer, and they had a rhyme.
