Primroses were always spread on the cows’ backs and around the door steps to bring luck. A whin branch or a bunch of heather was hung over doors and windows on May day also for luck. On Christmas Day the Churches are always decorated with holly and also the dwelling houses of the people(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
