- The Ivy Gable.Not far from my house is a place called the ivy gable. It is not far from Dunally house which is the property of the Bourke's.
At this place there used to appear a ghost in the shape of a black pig with his tongue afire. He used to come out in front of the people passing by after twelve o'clock at night.
This is on the Sligo-Manorhamilton main road and about two-and-half miles from Sligo town.
