- Over in Feeneys field there is the ruin of an old school. There was another in McMurraghs land surrounded by twelve houses in a ring. In Gillans field there was also an old School.
- In Gillans "Erin Cottage" mass was held for ten years. And then for five years in different houses in the "Point" And Upper Rosses.
