  1. The Coastguard Station is an old ruin now. It was there the English Sailors lived and guarded the coast. They lived there until 1920. The I.R.A burned it. They only gave them a few hours to clear away the furniture. There were six apartments in the coastguard station. There was only one entrance to the front. There were stables to the back. There was one tank to each back door. Mr McKeown bought it about six years ago. He converted it into a summer sweet shop where Miss Agnes McKewon works during the summer season here.
