  1. Creel Making
    Long ago the Irish people used to make creels and they still survive in this part of the country. This is the way creels are made. First sally rods are cut. they are then left in a pool of water for some time to make them pliable and so that they will not break when bent.
    Then they are cut in each end. When this is done they are left in a shed or barn to season. The rods or "scollops" are then plaited in and out through one another until they
