  1. I heard the following ghost story from an old man who is over 82 years of age. One night during the Christmas season many years ago, a neighbour of his was returning from Cloone with shop goods. He had a donkey and cart with him. As he was passing Gubbs crossroads, which is about two miles from Cloone, towards the South, he suddenly saw two lighted candles appear on his donkey's ears. He couldnt explain how, or from whence, they came, they appeared so mysteriously and suddenly. The donkey didn't
