   Roinn Roinn Postáil

   Kinlough is the name of our village, it means the head of the Lough.
   Laughta is the the townland, it means the place of graves, other names of districts around us are - Glenade the glen of jealousy. Derryloughan the place of of the oak trees. Unshenagh the place of the ash trees.
   Eden vile the bow of the hill.
   Moneen the little bog.
   The master's gate is an iron gate in Laughta, it got its name from a master who owned the field, he is dead a long time now, but the gate still holds its name.
   The fairy fort is a large hollow in my Uncle's land in Laughta, it is believed that there were fairies in it.
   the Malt hole is a little river running across the road,
