    Frog: If frogs are plentiful and they screeching it is a sign of rain. A black frog is a sign of rain. A yellow frog is a sign of fine weather. When there is going to be wet weather the frog changes his bright yellow coat to black.
    Heavy fog is a sign of rain.
    Feithidí: Midges out in the evening is a sign of rain. When crickets are heard screeching it is a sign of rain.

    Soot falling is a sign of rain. Smoke going up straight is a sign of fine weather.
    Miscellaneous:-
    If Candlemas Day is fine it is a sign of a bad year. A fog in wet weather is a sign of fine weather and vice versa. A blue colour seen in the fire is a sign of rain, The train heard noising very loudly is a sign of rain. If a piece of seaweed we have in the house goes moist we will have rain.
