"Don't kill that spider".
This is an old piece of poetry, about the spider, that I hear in school. It goes something like this:
Oh, Look, Look upon the wall, there is a great big spider, Glory be to, his long legs.
Wibbly, wobbly catch him for novelty,
Then there will be no more big long cobwebs.
The poem says you are to catch the spider. It does not tell you to kill it. It is said, if you kill the spider, rain will come soon.
If this is true, you should kill it, when rain is badly wanted. I think this story is told to prevent cruel people, killing the poor creature when it is not necessary.- Bailitheoir
