- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)Night fell dark and stormy. When he was about to take his supper a knock came to the door, and an old man came in. This man had long clothes and a long beard and an old bent stick in his hand.
This strange man said, "will you give me my supper and a bed for the night?" The old man said he could. And he said, "I will fix my bed for you and you can eat your supper now.
The stranger ate his supper and then he went to bed, and the owner lay on the floor all night.
Next morning there was no one in the bed, and he went to the table and the supper was not touched and an everlasting sack of coins was left under the bed.
The old man slid down the hill and he went into the town to an old priest and described ther man to the priest and the priest said it was St Joseph.- Bailitheoir
