    Crosses used to be made for St. Patrick’s day and St. Bridgets day. The rushes used to be cut in a rushy field. The people of the house used to make the crosses. Holly used to be put up at Christmas and palm used to be put up on palm Sunday. It was the custom long ago to make crosses for St. Patrick’s day. The man of the house used to collect a cloak
