  1. The weeds that do most harm to the land are dockweed, thistles, ferns and bráiste. These weeds make land poor and smother and spoil crops. The weeds that grow in rich land are hemlock, charlock, buachallán and thistles. The weeds that grow in poor land are bliscán, fearrabán, nettles and ferns. A cure for a cough can be made from the dandeloin and a swelling can be taken down by chick-weed. Cattle eat nettles and asses eat thistles. The poisonous weeds I know of are hemlock, ragwort and night shade. Long
