Near St Margaret's is a field called the church field. In this field is the ruins of an old church. There was once a convent there and after many years it was changed into a Catholic church. There was a mass path leading from Ballyfane along a ditch to this church. The church is now in ruins and outside it is a graveyard. There is a vault in the graveyard in which many Protestants were buried. The vault ruins and graveyard are walled in.
