- There is a blessed well Balla, Co;Mayo, Barony of Carra. Every year on the 14th August people go and preform a station there. They take off their shoes and go round on their knees through the whole graveyard twice. When they have gone round they go to the well. There is a pool near the well. They wash their feet and go into the well. There are three big stones in the bottom of the well, they go round the stones.(continues on next page)
