- Once upon a time a man and his wife were going to a fair. As they came near to a bog they saw a leprachán lying on a bunch of heather. The man rushed at him and he caught him. The fairy told him he would give him three wishes if he let him go. The man let him go and he came our of the bog and told his wife. So they went on to the fair.
