    to cure it. Holy wells were visited to cure sore eyes and sore hands.
    The seventh son or daughter was supposed to be able to cure ringworm and other ailments by making up a plaster.
    Use was made of herbs for making medicine. Use was made of nettles for puriffying the blood.
    Garlic was used in olden times for medicine.
    Dock leaves were used as food for pigs and nettles were given to turkeys as food.
