  1. In olden times the kind of bread made was Oat-meal bread and sometimes Yellow-meal bread. In olden times the poor people used to make potato cakes and Oat-meal cakes and Boxty cakes and the rich people used to make bread from flour. The Boxty cake was bake from raw potatoes scraped by a scraper and mixed with milk and baked in the pan. The potato cake was made from potatoes and flour and butter milk and baked on the gred-iron. The Oat-Meal cake was made from water and baked on a flag. In olden times marks were
