  1. There are many old grave yards in this parish. There is a grave yard in Ruan it is there all the people of the parish are buried. There is an old ruin of a church in the grave - yard. There are a lot of nice tomb stones and crosses in it.
    Kiltoola grave - yard is also a very old grave yard and very few families are buried there now except very old families. There was also a church in Kiltoola and some people are buried inside the church. This church was a monastery in the olden times and the monks were driven out by soldiers.
    Teampaill Na Déirce is an old grave yard also and a lot of people are buried there. There is a Blessed Well near the grave yard and people go there for it is supposed to cure sore eyes. There is another old grave yard up in Ranahan called the Coill, and very few people are buried there
