  1. There are many signs to indicate the kind of weather that is to prevail. I have often heard the neighbours talking, and there usual conversation was about the weather.
    The Sky: If the sky is red in the East in the morning it is a sign of rain, and when it is red at sunset it foretells good weather.
    Fleecy Clouds: White clouds in the sky are a sign of rain.
    Mackeral Sky: When the sky is of a mackeral colour it foretells rain.
    Black Clouds: Black clouds also denote rain.
    Sun: A copper or yellow sunset foretells rain.
    Moon: A halo round the moon is a sign of rain, the nearer it is to the moon the nearer the rain is to us, and the
