  1. Long ago in the Penal days, priests were forbidden to say Mass except when said in secret on lonly mountains and valleys.
One day in the year a priest named Father Cleary was coming to say Mass on Urra Rock. While he was waiting in secret to say it, he was spied upon by the English. Whe the people saw the priest dead they were greatly astonished and alarmed.
It is said that he had been foretold of his death in a dream while he was in his cabin and had told the people about it. This Mass Rock is to be seen in Urra to this day.
