  1. A churn is about four or five feet high and it is shaped like a barrell.
Long ago they had a hole at one end so as to hold the handle. This handle went right down through the barrell. It had a square piece of timber at the end which had six holes. The people used to pull this handle up and down so as to churn the cream.
Nowadays the churns are much different because there is a handle at the end of the churn. The people turn this handle so as to churn.
