  1. Hidden Treasure
    8-11-1937
It is said that in olden times there was a monastery in Galoon, about four miles from Belturbet in the parishof Newtownbutler, County Fermanagh. When Cromwell and his army were about to destory the monastery, the monks thew all their gold and silver vessels into the River Erne. A beautiful lily grows over the spot where they are supposed to be buried. Many people have searched for them but they have never been found.
