  1. I live in the townland of Mullaghboy. It is in the parish of Ballymachugh, and the barony of Clonmahon. There are ten or eleven families in Mullaghboy. The most of them are fairly old. The common name among them is Leahy.
The houses are thatched, slated, and tiled, but the most of them are slated.
The townland got its name from the yellow ground. There is one really old woman living. She is about ninety eight or ninety nine years of age I don't know whether she can tell stories in Irish or English.
Her address is - Mrs C. Mc Larney
    Moydristain, Mt nugent, Co Cavan
and another old woman called Mrs J Meehan, Mullaghboy, Mt Nugent, Co Cavan.
