- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)Long ago collections were made for Benet. Three generations of landlords lived in Quivey.
- There were rents collected for the local Landlords long ago. The Collectors in this country were Philip Fitzpatrick of Quivy and James O'Reilly of Derravona. These rents were very high some of the people did not want them others gave a good sum of money to it. Some of the people did not like the Landlords as if they were not able to pay their rents he would evict them from their homes. The Landlord and his descendants lived in Quivy Castle till about the year 1916 when the Castle was attacked and burned. Some of the evicted tenants left his country at this time and emigrated to America and other foreign countries.
