  1. (1) A cure for warts:-
If you happen to coem across a hollow stone, and water in it, wash the wart nine mornings, in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost, this is a very effective cure.
    (2) A cure for a sore throat:-
Take your stocking and tie it round your throat, and very likely the pain will be gone in the morning.
    (3) Another cure for a sore throat:-
Take your stocking and roast some salt, and put it in the stocking and put it to your throat.
This is another very effective cure.
    (4) A cure for burns and scalds:-
Relief will be given if the white of an egg is immediately applied. Continue applying and it will draw out the heat and keep from blistering. (5) A cure for boils:-
Get some soap and sugar and mix together on a plate and warm it to the fire then rub on as hot as possible.
