When a bargain is made the parties concerned show their agreement by striking hands.
When animals are sold there is a mark put on them to distinguish them from other cattle. Every buyer has a mark of his own. Some mark them with red keel others with mud and others mark them by clipping the hair at the side.
When an animal is sold the halter rope is given away also, but it is seldom people in this locality use halter ropes to bring cattle to the fair. Sheep, pigs, horses, and cattle are sold at the fairs mentioned.
