    She was therefore descended from the princes of the Decies, an extensive ancient district in Co Waterford, It is inferred her parents were Christians, from fad of being baptised when a child
    Born a little before the year 484 and was placed while an infant under the care of St Brendan of Clonfert
    NB Was Kennfoclad above the abbot of Sier Kieran?
    he was son of Suibine and died on a pilgrimage to Glendalough.

  3. An abbey was founded at Kinnitty in 557 when St. Finan surnamed Cam, and disciple of St. Brendan of Clonfert who died 576, was abbot of Kinnitty. St. Finian died 7 April but what year is not certain (probably about 655).
