    Mr. Whelan told me that the people of Tomsilla and Banogue were extremely superstitious chiefly about ghosts. So often did they appear in an old Bóithrín that it got and still bears the name - The Fairy Lane. The place was very thickly wood-wooded and some of the trees exhibited some strange freaks of nature. The old people told Mr. Whelan that the boughs of some trees were so arranged as to form
