name of my townlands "Gall- Baile" the home of the English man.
Of course they have lots of stories in English there is one who has a lot of stories and her name is Mrs Murphy of Garrygibbon a little bit away from my home.
At the present time there are more houses around than long ago.
Not many ever emigrated to England from my district.
The families here are mostly of the farming class and have plenty to do ; with more land than they can manage themselves and they cannot afford to leave their homes.
The land in the district of Galbally is low lying and marshy. On the new line there is a wood on each side of the road, this little wood goes by nothing only the " Little Grove".
There are rivers around also namely the Slaney and the Sow river.
My father Michael Murphy gave me all this.
