    The old ruined R. C. Church of Bally is dedicated to St. Aidan of Ferns. There lived close by one Hugh Sinnott, a large farmer and mill-owner. His house was called "The home of the seven sisters brought forth at one birth." When they were a few days old the father was busy at his mill. Their mother said she would take the children to have them christened by the priest. On her way to the chaple she had to cross a stream. She had a basket on her arm which contained her seven daughters covered with a cloth. She was in the act of laying down the basket when the P. Priest rode up to her on horse-back. "Good morrow, Anne," he said "what have you got in the basket". "Oh! butter your reverence," she replied. "Let
