  1. Martin Kehoe of Ballybeg
    was able to lift a stone that two horses could not carry. He was able to throw a hammer 700 yards. He was the best stone thrower in the district for seven years and in the eight year Tom Dempsey beat him.

    Tom Doyle of Ballywish
    was able to run thirty miles in an hour and he was able to out-run hares at courses in the district.
