    mist is able to cover the heap it will rain.
    Cattle.
    If the cattle are grazing in the morning it will be wet.
    Sheep.
    If the sheep are lying in the morning it will be a bad day.
    Dog.
    When the dog eats grass it will be wet.
    Horse.
    The horse always keeps his tail to the hedge when it is going to rain.
    Crows.
    If the crows are flying low it will be wet.
    Seagulls.
    When the seagulls are crying inland we know there is a storm at sea.
    Fire.
    If there is a blue blaze in the fire there is going to be a storm.
    Cement.
    When a cement floor is damp it is a sign of rain.
    Sound.
    When the noise of the train can be heard distinctly in the direction of Ballywillian it will freeze but if the noise is heard more distinctly in the direction of Edgeworthstown, we will have rain.
