  1. About fifty years ago children attending Drumraney National School saw a small man sitting by the stream which runs along by the road at Lissanode.
He was sitting on the bank with his feet in the water and smiled to the children as they passed. When they arrived at the school they told the teacher who went with them to the stream, but he saw nothing. He thought the children were mistaken but they came in the next morning with the same story and with the same story for a week.
Then both parents and teacher became interested and went with the children one morning. When they arrived the children saw him as usual but the parents or teacher could not see him.
