  1. Once there was a begger-man who used to go round begging. He had no house to sleep in. When it was possible he would sleep in a grave-yard.
    He had a big long white beard. One night he slept in the grave-yard of Churchtown. There was to be a fair held near that place next morning.
    The begger-man slept in the grave-yard near the road. There was a man pasing to the fair on the next morning. The begger-man saw him coming and when he was passing the begger-man put out his head across to know what time was it.
