  1. There were two giants living in this locality in olden times, Cushmore lived in Coola. The imprints of his fingers may be still seen in the wall near Coola Park. He was a warrior. He fought with another giant from Castletown named Hantarrib. Cushmore in this battle took up two skraws from Commagh to fling at his adversary. The two skraws formed the split hills and the hollow near Commagh hole made from the lifting of the two skraws.
    Dromfauda lived in Clongowley he used a sling to throw stones. The rocks of Ballard were slung from Dromfauda’s
