  1. Said before going to sleep
    There are four corners on my bed,
    There are four Angels o'er my spread
    St Matt, St Mark, St Luke, St John,
    Ask God to bless the bed Im on,
    If anything evil comes to me
    Mother of Jesus waken me
    If I die before I wake, Jesus I ask you
    my soul to take
    Sweet Saviour watch over me my own Angel guard me. Amen.
    Marking I.N.R.I. on the forehead this little Prayer is said, Jesus of Nazereth, King of the Jews.
    Spare me and all my family until morning, and keep me from a sudden and unprovided death. Amen.
