  1. A cure for a wart is to dip it in forge water. A hairy molly tied around ones neck cures the whooping cough. When people of the same family name get married their bread is said to cure the chin cough. A cure for mumps is to tie a gladow leaf round one's jaw. The seventh son of a seventh son is said to have a natural curing power. A certain seventh son in my locality cures ringworm by twisting a certain ring on the afflicted persons finger, reciting at the same time, some prayers including the Our Father. Another cure for a wort is to bury and ivy leaf.
