  1. (continued from previous page)
On Hallow Eve night some people place a briar around the churn so as to prevent the fairies from stealing the butter.
Transcribed by a member of our volunteer transcription project.
  2. It was on a Good Friday after-noon
The Jews came in with axe and spear in their hands
They pierced Our Saviour throught the heart and hands
    His precious blood did spill
His Blessed Mother standing by with a pitiful sigh and heavy moan
Whoever shall say this prayer three times by night.
And three times by day never will die in mortal sin
And the gates of Hell shall never enter in
Transcribed by a member of our volunteer transcription project.
