    In Spring people would gather dandelion and groundsel and watercress and wash and boil it, then mix treacle and cream of tarter with it.
    After a few days they would take a tablespoonful every morning for nine mornings for the blood. They often visited holy wells to get cured and bring home some of the water of the well.
