    it is covered with grass. There is also a mass path, just a worn path across grazing land by which people from Staholmog come to mass in Kilbeg Chapel. Long ago there were not many roads in Ireland, but in the famine days the English Government got a lot of roads made to give employment to anyone that was able to work. I heard that men were paid from sixpence to eightpence a day working at them.
