    of this. They cut the potatoes in two and spread them on top of the manure. They use spades which they buy in the shop. The neighbours help each other when they are planting and digging the potatoes. The children pick the potatoes and then store them in pits for the Winter. The farmer tills and prepares the ground before sowing the potatoes.
