  1. There is a man living in a little house on top of Tullyesker hill called Michael Mc Guire. I is said that one day while working in a quarry, a horse and cart got stuck in a hole. When he saw the plight of the poor animal he took pity on it, and lifted both horse and cart out of it.
    The same man is still living, and he has a quarry of his own, which he is very proud of. People say that he walks from Tullyesker to Drogheda, a journey of three and a half miles, in less than twenty-three minutes.
