One night long ago a man was coming home...

One night long ago a man was coming home in the middle of the night and he saw all the people playing football in the Glen near Tullyallen. When he got near to them they were not there at all. It was the dead were there and disappeared as he came up.
A man was out late one night and he met some of the dead out hunting with hounds. The leader spoke to him. The next day when he was going to the fair he met the same man and he bought the poor farmer's cow from him. The man put the money in a box and in a few days he found that it had turned to slates and he had no money to pay his rent
