    The Penal Times
    In the penal times there was a small church between Dysart and Kilnamona .The Friars in Dysart used to say Mass there .There is not any sign of the Church there now and that is how the field got the name of Church field.
    There is a small Church in Kilcross and Mass was and Mass was celebrated ther during the penal times.The ruins of it are still to be seen.
