  1. In the year 1842 a new school was built in the parish of Curraghroe, County Roscommon. To this school a young man named Michael Murray was appointed as teacher. Michael was a low-sized very stout young man full of wit and humour. He was loved by all his pupil and most of his pupil's parents., for he was a very good and kind teacher.
    He had a great desire for poetry and read the works of most of the great poets. He
