    Clothes
    Long ago they used to knit stockings nearly every night.It is usually out of wool they the thread .At present ,there is a spinning wheel at Murphy's and at Sullivans in Kanturk .long ago they made linen out of flax.First they pulled it and stooked it up for a week.Then they bogged it for a week and spread it out thin in a bog.They cleaned it when when dried up.They collected it up (when it was dried up)and put it on the collar beams.Then, when it was to be it was to be pounded it was dried up and broken into strong fibres,and scutched.After that ,it was fit for spinning .Towe is the coarse part of flax .They used cards for carding the towe.The people used not ask the
